Several informations were laid by the county ranger, G. Watson. A. Stuckey, on two eliargos, was convicted and) fined £1 and 9/6 costs on the first and £3 7/ costs on the second. B. Gleason, for allowing cattle to wander, was fined 10/ and costs, and M. Burk was mulcted in a similar ixtnalty. . CIVIL CASES. Judgment was entered for plaintiffs by default in the following civil cases: Commissioner of Taxes v. George J. Aldridge, claim £l9 15/4, cosis £1 16/; Agnes C. Jones v. H. J. Teitjens, claim £1 7/, balance of account, costs 18/;' J. P. Ivess v. Parawhenua Matakate, claim £1 QI6, costs 16/; Walter Hume v. W v Ransom, claim £6 4/, costs £1 10/6.

In a judgment summons case, R. J. Low claimed £5 14/ from L\ R. McDougall. His Worship made an order for judgment forthwith, in default seven days' imprisonment. CLAIM FOR POSSESSION.

. The Horowhe-nua Racing Club (Mr Blenkhorn) claimed, from A. Oxenham the sum of £2B 6/6 rent due, also for possession of tenement at the racecourse.

F. Nicholson, of the Finance Committee of the Racing Club, gave evidence of the amount of defendant's indebtedness-as stated.

There was no appearance of-defen-dant, and judgment was given for the amount claimed', possession of premises .to be given on or before February 11. .Costs to the amount of £3 13/ were allowed plaintiffs.
