Post Office Theft.
ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT. (Per Press Association). Dunedin, this day. Victor James Robert Keen, who was brought from Oamarii ,was charged at the Police Court this morning with breaking and entering the Milton Post O'ffice Savings Bank and stealing about £500. He was remanded till Friday on bail. The amount recovered is now £415. Accused, who is a liorse-trainer. and a resident of Milton, was arrested at Oamaru by a constable on suspicion, lie having cashed a £10 note with a carrier on his arrival in Oainaru from Milton. The Post O'ffice at Milton was entered and the keys taken from the Postmasters' pocket, tho safe being then robbed.
