Borough Elections.

Mr H. E. Keys, well-known ?.» a local business man, announces his candidature for a seat on the Borough Council at to-morrow's election. After 19 years' residence here Mr Keys noods no apology for coming forward. He is out for steady progress. Cr 1'". K. Parker, who lias served on the Council for three terms, again asks for the confidence of the electors. He can rightly claim to have been an independent Councillor and his services on the Fire Brigade committee were always directed to the town's interests. Cr Parker says lie represents no ticket or clique, but as in the past, he intemds —should he be re-elected—to consult only the interests of the town as a wholo. Among the new aspirants for civic honours is Mr F. W. Jones, who lias always taken a keen interest in the progross and; development of the town and now at the request of citizens offers himself for the Council. He should command a good share of support. ■Mr J. Harvey.* another candidate, needs no introduction. His practical knowledge as a builder and contractor, should be of service to the electors and if .elected, his endeavours will be directed to wards the welfare and progress of the town. Mr C. S. Keodwell's work in connection with local patriotic affairs is sufficlaini to municipal honours. Mr Keedwell is a progressive and may be relied upon to nromote tlie sound development of the Borough. ■ !».:.■ i " ' v ' '***■*
