Municipal Electiors.
Tjie Mayor-elect, Mr ,D. W. Mat heson, has convened a meeting for Tuesday evening in /the Century Hall, when lit- will add re s the ratepayers oil mattens concerning t'he welfare and progress of the liorough. Klcc'tors are invited b;j be presoi.t. Candidates for scats on the Borough Council will also >e given an opportunity of addressing the meeting.
Mr T. a C.;ur.<-illr:r w'.:;. has given do.se attention to Boitougli matters during his term of office, announces his candidature to-day. Mr Broome takes much interest in the progress of the town and district and the electors aro confidently appealed tio 'for a continuance of their confidence.
Mr 1?. McAllister, -who has been in. business in 1/evin for eobh years, also announces his intention of seeking the suffrages of the electors. Though nq[t now a member of the Labour Party, Mr McAllister is sympathetic to Labour interosits and at the same time oan be relied upon to give an independent and fearless vote on questions that jome before the Council.
