Mr Ferguson, speaking at the Royal Show, said that owing to the drought fodder was almost exhausted, and this meant widespread calamity to the stock. The Government had seized three hundred sacks of flour withheld from sale for export Sheepskins without wool or pickled pelts were permitted to be sent to any country without restriction. It was proposed to allow the export of woolled sheepskins to neutral countries under .similar conditions to wool.
