[l'*H I'P.KIla UI«ruU4XION.T AUCKLAND, This Day. The dead body of a fully developed female child, about three weeks old, perfectly nude, was found in the harbour on Sunday. The body had apparently been in the water about livo days. There is no clue as to identity. At eleven o'clock on Saturday night a half-caste Islander was found lying at the edge of Queen street wharf unoonscious. He was dressed only in a pair of bathing trunkc, with slouch hat and light shoes. All <a policeman could get from him was unintelligible rnutterings. There was nothing to indicate foul play. One surmise is that the man swam ashore from a vessel in the stream.
