SERGEANT FAREWELLED
Presentation to Police f< Officer Members of the Hastings Police Force yesterday farewelled Sergeant R. G. Wade, who has been transferred to Huntley. Senior-Sergeant Sivyer, on behalf of the force, presented Sergeant Wade with a fountain pen and propelling pencil, and said how much his transfer •was regretted. Ho expressed the best wishes of the Hastings Force for the future for both the sergeant and his wife. Detective B. Farquharson and Constable Gibbs also spoke on behalf of the plain-clothes and uniformed staffs. Sergeant Wade replied briefly, and thanked the speakers for their good wishes and their gift.
