WOMEN’S INSTITUTE—TUTIRA GROUP
The monthly meeting of the Tutira Women’s Institute was held in the hall on November 7, Mrs Grant presiding over a fair attendance. A very interesting and instructive demonstration on using wool from the fleece was given by Airs Brown, Eskdale, and the beautiful rugs made by her were greatly admired. Al embers are enthusiastic to make a start on the work.
The arrangements for the Christmar tred wf/e discussed, a committee being appointed with Mi's Sullivan in charge. The competitions resulted: Soft toy (knitted), Mrs Goodman I, Mrs D. D. Stewart 2. Afaterial toy: Mrs R. Smith 1.
