(Received 8, 10.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, Sept. 8.

The Rt. Hon. J. A. Lyons stated that no decision had yet been reached on what action would be taken to meet the competition of American subsidised shipping in the Pacific. Referring to the report (on that Mr. Menzies and Dr. Page had submitted recommendations to Cabinet, Mr. Lyons said that it was without foundation.
