Draft Award To Be Prepared The wage to bo paid to outside employees, which under the old award was 2/2 an hour was considered by the Napier Borough Council last evening, when it was decided to prepare a draft award along the lines of the Wellington City Council’s award and that the council should join up with the Hawke’s Bay Employers’ Association.

Tho council reached these decisions last night on tho recommendation of its works committee, which made the following recommendations, all of which were adopted : —

(1) That the council join up with the Hawkes’ Bay Employers’ Association; (2) that the Town Clerk and the borough engineer of the Hastings and Napier boroughs consult and prepare a draft award on the lines of the Wellington City Council’s award, such draft to be submitted to all cited local bodies for approval; and (3) that the Mayors, Town Clerks and borough engineers of Hastings and Napier be tho assessors on tho Conciliation Commission.
