NOT HANDING OVER
Southland Power Board By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, June 18. The Southland Electric Power Board at its meeting to-night passed a resolution rescinding a resolution passed in March in favour of a referendum of ratepayers on the question of handing over the board’s scheme to the Government. This means that the negotiations as far as the board is concerned for the banding-over of the scheme are at an end.
