JTattcrs uro now sufficiently advanced tn warrant the culling "f the general meeting of Hastings shopkeepers on Wednesday next, Tie meeting will be held in the Rialto Tearooms. There will be dinner at 6 o’clock and a general meeting commencing at 7 o’clocit. Those who are going to dinner arc requested to communicate with the secretary, Mr 11. A. Mossman, or the president, Mr 11. R. French, so that arrangements can be made. At tho general meeting, any retailor who has paid his subscription, ?r intends to become a member, has the privilege of bringing ■ orward any business that he considers of importance in the interests of the retailing community of the town and their customers. There will be au election of nil officers and committees, as well as the general business, and a full ul tendance is hoped for.
