CROQUET
Omarunui Club
The members of the Omarunui Croquet Club held their annual meeting in the Bowling Club’s pavilion, there being a very good attendance of members.
The secretary presented the- report and balance-sheet, which showed n most satisfactory position and were unanimously adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Airs T. B. AlcDonald; club captain, Airs F. O. Anderson; vice-captain,. Mrs P. Oliver; secretary and treasurer, Airs J. Ellis; selectors, Mesdames Anderson, Oliver and Ellis; handicapper, Airs J. Ellis; delegate to Hawke’s Bay Association, Afrs T. 13. McDonald; committee, Mesdames J. Williamson, A. Simkin, F. Wiseman and A. Blair.
Tho retiring officers were accorded it hearty vote of thanks. A very successful gathering closed with a dainty afternoon tea.
Distinct success also attended the club’s “500” evening, the prizewinners being as follows:—Ladies, Airs Alexander 1; lucky number, Airs Clayton. Gentlemen: Air Colbeck 1; lucky number, Air T. B. AlcDonald,
