SAVOURY PANCAKES. Ingredients: Piancake batter, finely chopped cold meat, 1 small onion, salt and pepper. Method: Prepare the batter in the usual way and add a pinch of salt. Stand aside for an hom - , then chop up finely the cold cooked meat—beef, mutton, sausage, bacon or ham. Peel and chop the onion and season with salt and pepper. Stir into the batter and fry in spoonfuls in boiling fat. Serve with gravy or sauce. Fish pancakes may be made in the sauia way. Tho fish should be cold cooked white fish freed from ail skin and bone. Oysters or salmon can also he used with success.
