SYDNEY, June 4.
The nominations for tjie leading spring events in Sydney and Melbourne are as follow: —
A.J.C. Epsom, 1 mile, 153 compared with 135 last year; A.J.C. Metropolitan Handicap, 1 mile 5 furlongs, 142 compared with 118; Melbourne, Cup, 2 miles, 297 compared with 282; Caulfield Cup, li mile, 241 compared with 238.
Silver Ring, Cuddle Gustos and Queen of Song are among the large number of New Zealanders entered for the Melbourne Cup, and Cuddle, Silver Ring and Silver Streak are among the entries for the Caulfield Cup. Other well known New Zealanders nominated for important events in Sydney aud Melbourne include Sporting Blood. Grand Sport, Silver Jubilee, On Parade, Stretto, Golden Wings, Chief Ranger, 11 Duce, Happy Landing, Kinnoull Pladie, Oratory and Wagner.
Twenty-seven New Zealand horses have been entered for the A.J.C. major spring handicaps—2l for the Epsom and 20 for the Metropolitan. Cuddle, Silver Ring and Silver Streak have been nominated for both events.
