All interested in the art of singing will be pleased to learn that Mrs. J. A. Rosewarne will be visiting Hastings each Monday to give lessons in voice production, etc. Mrs. Rosewarne has a very high reputation, both as performer and teacher, and lor many years was recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading singers, having taken the principal roles in choral, oratorio and opera. Her pupils have also gained very high honours at various competitions throughout the Dominion Mrs. Rosewarne will bo in attendance at tho G.F.S. rooms, St. Matthews on Monday, Juno 8. An agent giving evidence agrceo that certain purchasers might pay well for an island, above tho farming value of the property, but pointed out that until tin. sale which was the subject of tho action, none of the islands in the Bay of Islands had changed hands for niijtiy years, owing to tho high prices asked.
