TO-NIGHT’S WRESTLING

King Elliott and Russell To-night in the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, there will be staged one of the fastest wrestling bouts witnessed this season in Hawke’s Bay. Both King Elliott and Cowboy Russell have reputations as being most versatile and very speedy matmen. The match itself is in the nature of a special return match, their first and only meeting taking place at Dunedin, where, after a contest full of thrills, Elliott gained the decision by a very narrow margin of points E. Matson, who was to have wr-estled Ted Morley, is unable to travel, having injured himself while training during the week. The amateur bouts are as follow: — C. Croucher and Reka, T. Hartshorn and J. Hewart. Buster Thompson and G. Thow, N. Webby and Wright. It is advisable, owing to the increased popularity of wrestling, to book the best seats at Hall’s bookshop without delay.
