The number of diphtheria suspect.- 1 among the nurses and patients at the Christchjireh Public Hospital if greater than usual at the present time. Precautions have been taken and ali positively affected have been removed to Bottle Lake Hospital.
It is understood that concern has beeu caused by the increase in the number of positive swabs. The actual ex tent of the disease will not be known, however, till the tests are completed towards the end of the week. A number of the suspects are carrying the disease in its non-virulent form, which means that the germ cannot be passed on.
