ROUGH RUGBY
New Method of Control Proposed That officials of the Hawke’s Day .Rugby Union be allowed to report to the union upon any unseemly action of players in football matches, end that the union be empowered to take action against such a player, is a motion to be moved by Mr N. A. McKenzie at next Wednesday’s meeting of the man agement committee of the Hawke's. Bay Rugby Union. He gave notice of this motion last evening, saying: “There is too much v.se of the fist creeping into the game. Tt is impossible for referees to eee all that goes on. I think this is a matter which requires plenty of thought, and that is why I shall not move my motior until next week.” “This use of the fist is not unique so far as our union is concerned," com mented the chairman, Mr J. W. Norrie. Mr L. Harris: I heartily endorse Mi McKenzie’s remarks.
