NGARURORO PROPOSAL
Deputation to Meet Ministers
Arrangements for the Ngarurororiver diversion will be discussed at Wellington when a deputation representing the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board meets Ministers of the Crown ou Thursday, June 11, at 10.30 a.m. The board’s representatives, Messrs C. Lassen (chairman), W. J. Pallet (clerk) and G. Rochfort (engineer), will meet the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, with whom they will discuss the Ngaruroro river proposals which were approved by the board at its meeting earlier this week. They will also meet tho Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, in order to complete the financial side of the proposal. Tho deputations to the Ministers were arranged by Mr E. L. Cullen, M.P., who advised Mr Lassen yesterday of the arrangements.
