SPEEDING MOTORIST
Fined and License Endorsed “This man went across one of the busiest intersections in the town at one of the busiest hours at a speed of over 35 miles an hour,’’ said Traffic Inspector A. C. Crawford to Mr. J. Miller, 8.M., at the Hastings Magistrate’s Court this morning when Peter Barron pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle in Heretaunga street at a speed dangerous to the public. The inspector added that shortly afterwards another motorist complained of the defendant’s speed further down the street. His Worship- What have you to say ? Defendant: Nothing. “You’ve had plenty of warning about speeding from the number of lines already inflicted in this Court,,” said His Worship. “You will be lined £5, with 10/- costs, and your license will be endorsed. ’’
