BROWN SCONES. Ingredients: 1 breakfast cup of flour, g teaspoonfuls of baking powder, J teaspoonful of salt, 1 breakfast cup of wholemeal, 2oz. butter, 1 egg, 2 tablespoonfuls of honey, $ cup of milk. Method: Sift the flour, baking powder and salt and add the wholemeal. Rub in the butter with the tips of the fingers. Make a hole in the centre of the mixture and stir in the well-beaten egg. Dissolve the honey in the milk, and stir into the mixture to make a soft dough, adding a little more milk if required. Cut into rounds, and bake on a greased baking sheet for 10 minutes in a quick oven.
