There were imposing scones at the Maharaja’s palace on the occasion of the wedding of Duleepsinhji to Jayara Kumari, a niece of the Maharaja of Rajpipla, which was carried out in the women ’s section of the palace, to which only priests, the bridegroom and tho Maharaja of Rajpipla were admitted. The ceremonies, which occupied the whole day, ended at midnight when Duleepsinhji and his bride went to Duleepsinhji’s camp.
