Big Order lor Girls Going Home from School A record booking order was handed to the booking clerk at the Hastings railway station this morning when he received a list of the fares required by the pupils of Woodford House, Havelock North, preparatory to tho school breaking-up lor tho term holidays tomorrow. The aggregate bookings came to over £l7O and tickets will bo issued for almost all parts of the North Island, certainly all main routes, and in addition there will be a fair quota of South Island passengers “This is easily the biggest order we have had for bookings in Hastings,” commented an official as he set about collecting the required tickets to meet this exceptional and, of course, welcome order.
