EXTENSION OF STRIKE
Port Kembla Effort (Received 30, 9.30 a.m.) NEWCASTLE, March 30. A conference of Newcastle union officials and shop stewards yesterday heard addresses by delegates of the combined unions involved in the Port Kembla steelworks strike, after which they endorsed a proposal for the extension of the Port Kembla dispute to the Newcastle steelworks and galvan-ised-iron workshops. The final decision, however, was left to aggregate meetings of members of the unions concerned.
