The monthly meeting of the Hastings Chamber of Commerce will be held tonight (Monday) at 8 o’clock
Manchester Unity Oddfellows and candidates for initiation are reminded that the Hastings Lodge will hold its regular meeting at the Oddfellows' Hall, Market street, Hastings, on luesday.
Music hath charms to soothe the savage beast. So says the poet. Congratulations to the Bridge Pa Maoris for their successful efforts in securing Ana Hato and her troupe of first-class entertainers to give their well-known Maori entertainment at the Bridge Pa Hall on Wednesday evening, the 18th inst. Ann Halo, the leading Maori soprano ol the day, will be the star of the group. Mr Tau Harawana, the noted Te Arawa haka leader, will lead the warriors in their battle cry. Hakas, Maori waiatas and poi dances will be the feature of the evening. Watch out for the advertisements.
