CALEDONIAN DANCE
Takapau Success From Our Own Correspondent TAKAPAU, March 15. The Caledonian Society’s dance held as a wind-up to the sports day on Thursday evening in the Takapau Town Hall, was probably one of the bestattended functions of its kind yet held in Takapau. The hall was filled to capacity and, with the excellent arrangements and good management, the evening was thoroughly enjoyable and provided a fitting finale for a successful Caledonian Day. Excellent music, supplemented by extras and piping, was provided by Les Anderson’s orchestra. The M.C.’s duties were capably carried out by Messrs N. C. Wylie and G. Speedy. The evening, with the amount ot patronage received, proved very successful financially, and will make up in a measure for the loss sustained in having to postpone the sports day to March 26.
