Miss Mary Rochfoit, of Khandullan, ■Wellington, who has been staying in Ormondvillc, spent the week-end in Hastings.
Mrs. 11. M. Campbell, Horonui, Hastings, and Miss Una Smith, motored to Wanganui this morning.
Miss Leslie Cook, of Taurangn, was the guest of Miss Margaret Glenny, Wilton, Te Awanga, for the week-end.
Mrs Keith Bull, the vice-president of the Maraenui Ladies’ Golf Club, who leaves Napier for Gisborne to-morrow, was the guest at an evening given by Mrs P. Martin, Breakwater road, on Friday evening, when she was presented with a crystal bowl l;v members of the club. In the absence of th< president, Airs J. 11. Oldham, Miss Murphy made the presentation and conveyed to her the members’ appreciation of her past services to the club.

Miss Dorothy Alexander, Gore, daughter of Mr and Mrs M. Alexander, Greenmeadows, and her cousin, Miss Olive Robertson, Waikiwi, Inverear gill, are on a holiday visit to Miss Alexander’s parents. •
