ONE OF GOD’S GIFTS
It is not always realised that health is one of God’s Gifts, for which we should daily pray, just as we say “Give us this day our daily bread,” and at the end of the day we should return thanks for its bestowal. Vicar, to visiting Bishop; “What do you think of our choir, my lord!” “It has solved an old puzzle for me —the difference between choirs end places where they sing.” Parish Clerk: . “I bin clerk for forty year an’ I remember seven rectors.” “Can you now! And how many curates!”
“Oh, I don’t take no count o’ curates.”
