Football Club’s Meeting (Own Correspondent.) OMAKERE, March 13. The annual general meeting of the Omakere Football Club was held in the Omakere Hall last evening, Mr. J. Macfarlane being in the chair. There was a good attendance of members and supporters. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The following committee was elected: —Messrs. H. Birdsall (sole selector and coach), R. Bell, T. Davies, T. Chute, F. Brewster, D. Sutherland, J. Macfarlane, B. Wallace (treasurer) and A. H. W. Thompson (hon. secretary). The subscription for the season was fixed at 2/6. The secretary was instructed to ascertain particulars regarding an insurance proposal on players for the season. It was decided to circularise neighbouring clubs regarding the possibility of matches during the season. A practice match is to be called for in two weeks’ time, and all intending players are asked to be present. Motions of thanks were passed to the president (Mr. C. J. Nairn) and the vice-presidents and to all members and supporters and also to the willing band of ladies who so generously provided refreshments. All players and supporters are again asked to co-eperate with the club officials to ensure another successful season.
