TOWNSWOMEN GARDENERS
The annuar meeting of the Napier Townswomen's Guild gardening section was held on Thursday in the Diocesan Hall. Mrs M. W. Henley was in the chair. A vote of thanks was passed to the outgoing committee and especially to Mrs C. Corner (secretary and treasurer). The report and balance sheet for the year were read and passed. A vote of thanks was passed unanimously to Mrs E. Glenny for donating a silver cup to be competed tor monthly by members bringing a single flower, anv variety, out of their own gardens. Other prizes were offered by members of the section and tea arranged for. The following committee was elected: —Mrs R. C. Wright, (leader), Mrs A. B. Hurst (deputy-leader), Mrs Corner (treasurer), Mrs Orr (secretary), Mrs Mayo, Airs Wilson, Mrs Pegram, Mrs Harris, Mrs Briely. The meeting then closed to allow rhe new committee to arrange the programme for April.
