Mount Herbert Golf Course From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, March 13. With every prospect of an increased membership for the approaching golf season, the Mt. Herbert Golf Club is having five of the greens on the Mt. Herbert golf links altered. it is thought that the club will benefit greatly by these changes os the course will be longer and the greens better for play. GYMNASIUM CLUB. Membership of the Waipukurau Gymnasium Club is steadily increasing, there being a large number interested. So far no definite arrangements have been made as to equipment, but, at a meeting held last evening, it was announced that an arrangement had been made to secure the use of Turner and Butler’s old garage, which is stated to be most suitable for the purpose. In future Thursday nights will be devoted to training and instruction. At the meeting the possibility was mentioned of coming to an arrangement with the Waipukurau Boxing Club to secure combined interest. This is to be followed up.
