HAVOC IN N.S.W. TOWN Electric Storm Follows FALLING TREE KILLS MAN (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received 3, 11.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dee. 3. Struck by a terrific gale, the town of Culcairn, near the southern border of New South Wales, was severely damaged. Fences and verandahs are down in all directions, houses were unroofed, tanks and outhouses blown over, trees uprooted and telephono poles crashed, and the air was filled with flying timber aud corrugated iron. The townspeople were terror-stricken. Vivid lightning and hail followed. Other parts of the Riverina area suffered. A man was killed by a falling tree.

Damage to crops is very heavy.
