BREAKWATER EXTENSION

In order to convey concrete blocks from the concrete-making plant to where additional work is being done on the Breakwater mole, two lines of railway tracks are to be laid to the end of the protecting arm, where an additional 420 feet of mole is to be constructed. In order to make room for these two separate lines it will be necessary to move the whole of. the top layer of blocks on the southern side of the mole a distance of a few inches outwards. This work, which is to be commenced in the near future and will be carried out by the Napier Harbour Board itself, will considerably facilitate the operations of the contractor engaged on the extension of the Breakwater structure.
