(British Official Wireless.; (Received 16, 11.0 a.m.) CALCUTTA, Sept. 15.
Thirty thousand British and Indian troops, forming what is known as the “Moheorce, ” are concentrated between Peshawar and Katsai as a preliminary to large-scale operations against Mohmand tribesmen, who are seriously menacing the security of the North-West frontier.
The British force is holding a ninemile front in which it is estimated 1500 tribesmen are mustered beyond Mahakki Pass, but many thousands of others are within call.
The troops have been frequently sniped, but up to the present there has been only one Indian casualty.
