TO-DAY’S RECIPE
CURRY. Ingredients: 2 onions, little butter, 2 tablespoonfuls flour, 1 tablespoonful curry powder, lib, uncooked meat, 1 carrot, 2 apples, 21b. sultanas, salt to taste, 1 dessertspoonful sugar, 1 small cup gravy stock or water.
Method: Slice the onions and fry in butter. Mix in a plate the flour and curry and cut the meat into dice and roll well in the prepared flour. Place the fried onions in a saucepan and add carrot cut finely, tho cut up apples and sultanas, the sugar and stock. Add the meat and stir well together. Simmer for two hours, or if the meat is previously cooked stmmer only half an hour. Serve with boiled rice.
