KITCHEN TEA
“Britannia and Eve” Miss Hilda Webb, of Havelock North, whose marriage takes place shortly to Mr Jock Pollock, .was guest of honour at a very jolly kitchen tea given by Miss Elsie Cook at her home in Napier road, Havelock North, last evening. Miss Cook wore a gown of figured pink drawn thread voile, the hem finished with scalloped frills and similar frills finishing tho puff sleeves. The guest of honour wore a lemon georgette frock, tho capo effect tied in jront and tho skirt trimmed with tiny frills. Very jolly games and competitions caused much amusement during Jhe evening. The paper-tearing competition and also a song-title competition were won by Miss Nola Geake, while Mrs T. Olsen and Mr Jock Pollock guessed tho correct number of sweets in a bottle. A delicious supper was enjoyed by everyone, and afterwards Miss Webb opened her gifts, which included a number of useful presents for her future home. Mr Pollock, on behalf of Miss Webb, thanked everyone for their gifts and lor the very jolly evening. Those present were: Mrs G. Cook, Mrs H. Anderson Mrs T. Olsen, Misses N. Diamond, D. Redpath, M.
