HOTEL DESTROYED
Big Blaze at Bay View
The I’etane Hotel at Bay View was burned to the ground early this morning. The hotel is a single-storey wooden building that was built about six ycare ago. A member of the Port Ahuriri police force is to inquire into the circumstances, as is done in the case of all fires.
The licensee, Mr Frederick Tucker, discovered that the hotel wag blazing at about two o'clock this morning, and there is no informatrsn to show whether he was able to retrieve any of his property. The owner of the hotel is Mr H. Neagle, of Taradale. The insurances, if any, are not at present ascertainable.
