At the distance the leading order was Kewpie’s Triumph, Nimbus, Chancellor and Great Logan. In a great finish Great Logan forged ahead to win narrowly from Kewpie’s Triumph, with Chancellor a close third. Nimbus was fourth. Won by a head both ways. Times, 4.54, 4.50 1-5, 4.55 2-5. Prince Pedro came along well in the heavy going to win with something in hand from Trustworthy, with Hohoro I a good third and Lady Coronado fourth. t Won by two and a half lengths, third ’ back three-quarters of a length.
