45 YEARS’ GAOL
Kidnapper Sentenced AMERICAN PLEADS GUILTY (Received 22, 1.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 21. A message from Tacoma, Washington, states that 45 years’ imprisonment in McNeil Island Penitentiary was the sentence given Harmon Waley, aged 24, for the kidnapping of George Weyerhaeuser, aged nine, by Federal Court Judge E. 8. Cushman, who deferred action concerning Mrs. Margaret Waley, aged 19. Both pleaded guilty to kidnapping and extortion. The judge.set aside the wife’s plea on a statement by the attorney and Waley that she know nothing about, the kidnapping until the boy had been held several days.
