RIFLE SHOOTING
Hastings Miniature Club
TROPHY SERIES Members of the Hastings Miniature Rifle Club completed a further round in the trophy series. A largo muster of members participated, and shooting was of a high standard throughout. The B grade trophy resulted in very keen competition, and E. Dunn, who made his first appearance with the club, is to be congratulated on his decisive win by recording a possible in the fourth shoot-off. In tho O grade competition A. Beattie returned a splendid target of 99. The trophy was eventually won by W. J. Kissock. Tho ladder badges resulted:—A grade, J. Sim; B grade, H. Brchaut and J. Drake; C grade, A Beattie. On Tuesday evening members of the women’s section of the Hastings Miniature Ribe Club completed tho final of tho practice series. When it is considered that the majority are members with little knowledge of rifle shooting, the general standard of scoring is remarkably high. Misses Lovell-Smith and Newland were tho most successful, each recording scores of 9-1. Next week tho trophy series will commence, and handicaps will be declared later. Following are the scores:
