WAIPUKURAU
Bible Class Tea A happy time was spent at Waipukurau on Wednesday evening, when the junior boys’ Bible Class of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, held their ninth birthday tea. There were about 35 members and guests present, including the Rev. W. R. and Mrs Hutchison, Mr and Mrs R. J. Young, Mr and Mrs F. J. Dunbar, Mr and Mrs A. S. Leitch, Mr and Mrs R, Staines, Mr and Mrs W. W. Jamieson, Miss A. McLean, Miss G. Wiggins, Mr E. A. J. Elliott and Mr C- H. Milne. Mr Jamieson welcomed the guests and stated the object of the gathering after which the candles on tho handsome birthday cako were lighted, and many short and witty speeches made. Mrs Hutchison cut the cake and al) sat down to do full justice to the bountiful array of good things set out on tho tables.
