ARGYLL EAST TRAGEDY
Inquest on Miss Madden The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Mary Evelyn Madden, at Taheke, on February 6. was concluded before the Coroner, Mr. G. Ebbett, J.l’., at the Hastings Courthouse this morning. Detective Farquharson traversed the evidence given at the recent murder trial arising out of the death of Miss Madden. The Coroner said that since the proceedings were adjourned the issue had become simple, because a man had been tried and found guilty of murder. 'I he Coroner then returned a verdiet that Mary Evelyn .Madden died at Taheko on February 6, 1935, death being caused by a fractured skull and laceration of the brain resulting from injuries lioniieidally inflicted by Charles William Price.
