Abyssinia, in a fresh Note to the League, states that since Abyssinia’s appeal to the League the situation has become worse and that aggression against Abyssinian independence 'sbotos imminent. The Note claims that Abyssinia has faithfully abided by the Council decision, whereas Italy has continued to send troops and large quantities of munitions to East Africa, accompanied by inflammatory threats. Tho Note accuses the Italian Press of constantly reporting frontier incidents fur the. purpose of disturbing Italian - Abyssinian relations. The Italian Government declares that these incidents confirm its duty to defend its interests. The Note declares that these assertions are pretexts for making aggression Inevitable, and suggests that the League should send a committee of neutrals to the frontier to investigate all alleged or real incidents.
