doughnuts. Ingredients: 2 small cups flour, | teaspoonful salt, 2 teaspoonfuls cream of tartar, 1 teaspoonful bicarbonate of soda, 1 small cup of milk, fat. Method: Mix the dry ingredients into a firm dough with the milk, cut into rounds, make a hole in the centre and fry in deep fat until brown and serve when hot with golden syrup.
