SPILT-INK CLUB
MEETINGS IN HASTINGS. The monthly meeting of the Hastings branch of the Spilt Ink Club, which endeavours to help writers with original work, was held in the Girls’ Friendly Society room on Saturday evening, Airs. Drummond, tho local representative, presiding. During an interesting evening, original stories, poems and paragraphs were read and discussions followed .It was suggested that for the next meeting, on October 12, each member should write a review of any book they liked, and also bring a list of twelve Anglo-Saxon words. Mrs. D. Hursthouse was elected honorary secretary, and it was decided to hold all future meetings in the G.F.B. room, Eastbourne street. A light supper brought by the members concluded the meeting in a pleasantly informal way.
