ROAD WIDENING
Havelock Board Proposal On the suggestion of the chairman, Mr H. R. von Dadelszen, the clerk of the Havelock North Tow-n Board, Mr W. H. Anderson, was last evening given authority by the board to approach officials of the Catholic Church and other owners concerned with' a view to having St. Hill’s Lane, which leads from Te Mata road to Napier road, widened to one chain. It was stated that the lane was now used a great deal and in future it would prove even more popular with traffic, especially w-hen Napier road became tar-sealed. It was also considered that the area in the vicinity of the lane might possibly prove a popular residential quarter in the future.
