LICENSING COMMITTEE

The adjourned quarterly meeting ot the Waipawa Licensing Committee will be held in the Courthouse, Waipawa, on Thursday, September 20, at 10.30 a.m. and will be presided over by .Hr R. M Watson. S.M An excellent concert organised by members of the Rust family, in aid of the tunds of the Waipawa Fresbyterinn Church was held in the Municipal Concert Hall, Waipawa, last even--ng. The Rev F. W. Robertson extended a hearty welcome to the performers am! thanked them lor the assistance which they bad rendered. He also congratulated them on the success which their efforts bad achieved. The concert programme consisted of items by the Orchestra under the baton of Mr E J. Maher, Mrs J. Boyce (song), Miss M. Wills (elocutionary items), Mrs Drake and Miss I. Rust (duet), Jlr C. E T Woods (song Messrs Russell and Walker (iiistl’umental dint), Air J. Fender i humourous items), Miss J. Rust (piano soloi, Mrs Drake (son.;), Mr 1. Angell (violin solo), Mr J. Barker (song), Mos G. Major (musical monologue), Mis.; ih dge, Mrs Mita and .Mr W. Rust (instiumental trio), Miss I. Rust (si.ng), .Messrs Rust and Anjjeil (violin duet) Special thanks were tendered to the performers from Waipukurauriu who had so willingly assisted.
