Tremendous Eruption REYKJAVIK (Iceland). April 2 Atremendous eruption of the Skeidei Yoeckel volcano, in the south-east ni Iceland during the week-end, fortunately cost no lives. Immense blocks o fice were flung from the Skeider Glacier into the Skeider River, which normally carries boiling water from subterranean springs, and R now swollen into » torrent. Although lie;, kjavilk is 200 miles from the volcano, the eruption could he plainly seen in th# shape of a column of fire, estimated to ho more than 3000 ft. high
