WEDDING

KITT—SOWER BY. On Wednesday, April 4, a quiet wedding ceremony took place at St. Peter’s Church, Wellington, when Evelyn Ivy Sowerby, eldest daughter of Mr. P. Rowerby, of Hawea, was married to Sydney James Kitt, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kitt, of Hastings. The zride was given away by her uncle. Mr. W. Sowerby, and she was attended bv Miss Madge Gerbick. Mr. Ben Sinclair was best man After the wedding Mr. and Mrs. J. Eoynolds. of Wellington, entertained th* wedding party at their residence in Wellington, and later Mr. and Mrs. Kitt left for a trip to Hawke's Bay and Taranakt They intend making their future home in Wellington. Last arrived in Hastings they were welcomed at a very bright and enjoyable party held at the home ofthe bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Kitt. A very merry evening wns spent by some 40 guets. who all expressed their good wishes to the happy couple. Games dancing, communitv singing and “For they are jollv good fellows’’ sung by all. mnde the gathering very sociable.
